Hi everyone! I’m up on the Pinkfresh blog today with a pretty-in-pink floral thank-you card. I layered die cuts of the new Circle Florals stamp, using inked cardstock pieces, embossed vellum, and hot foiled circles to give this card a slightly eclectic look.
I started my project by hot foiling with the pink shade from a Glimmer variety pack of satin pastels and three of the Nested Circles hot foil plates and used the Nested Circles die set to cut them out. Then I grabbed the new Circle Florals stamp set and a medium pink ink to stamp the outline of the florals, one stamp will give you two arching bouquets to fit around a circle.
After they were stamped out I used the Circle Florals 5-piece stencil set to color everything in. For the flowers, it was: Ballet Slipper, Sparkling Rose, and Bubble gum. I inked some of the tips of the leaves in Sunshine then all of the leaves were inked with Grassy Knoll and Key Lime. Lately, I’ve been a bit obsessed with variegated colors for my leaves. Then I also stamped and heat embossed the flowers in silver and gold embossing powders, onto vellum. I die-cut all of the flowers with the Circle Florals dies and set them aside.
I decided some subtle interest behind the blooms would be pretty so I used another new Pinkfresh design: Art Deco Frames to die cut out a fancy white border and adhered it to an A2-sized cardbase.
Before I started layering all of the elements together I stamped out a lovely sentiment from the Around the Shape: Circles stamp set onto the largest hot foiled circle. I started the layering process by putting two layers of foam tape, in the middle of the sentiment circle, and adhered it to the center of the card. Then one by one I grabbed pieces that I had prepared earlier and started arranging them till I had them how I liked. I took a photo with my phone to keep as a reference and started gluing pieces down underneath the sentiment circle.
Then it was time for bling! I pulled out another new product by Pinkfresh (there’s so much with this release!) called Ombre Glitter Drops Sparkle & Shine. The color of these drops changes from gold to white. Pretty! After the drops were placed, I was done with my card.
I hope that some of these design choices have inspired you to make something new today. Thank you so much for coming by!
