No-line Pencil Colored Background Stamp

Hi folks! This time I just felt like coloring with my pencils, plus I’m not done making Christmas cards… maybe by March, so many ideas, so little time!

So I had to use Pinkfresh Studio’s Winterberry background stamp ( I love all of those little berries!). I put it in the MISTI and used PFS’s Warm Buff on Simon Says Stamp’s Fog cardstock. It’s not difficult at all to use pencils on good, very lightly textured, card stock instead of “color pencil paper”.

Once it was stamped down, I dug through my pencil box for: pinks – for the berries, a peach – it warms up the pink, deep red – for the base of the berries, and shades of olive green for the stems and leaves. When I was done coloring I used a white gel pen at the top of the berries.

I stamped a fun little scripty Christmas sentiment onto torn vellum from the Sleigh Bells Ring stamp set, and added a bow from Pinkfresh Studio’s Artistic Bows die set. I decided on red and silver for the bow to keep things festive.

I adhered my pencil colored card onto a couple of colored pieces of paper for a border/mat look. And I was done!

I hope that this has inspired you to make something new today, thanks so much for coming by!

Hi Holly, I’m sorry but I haven’t not yet been able to film my cardmaking, I’m working on it though. So, no video, but thank you so much for your interest.
