I made a couple of pretty Pinkfresh Studio tags for their latest challenge, and enjoyed using a number of techniques to achieve just the look I wanted.
I started with Pinkfresh’s Coral Reef ink cube on Simon Says stamp’s Modern Rose Blooms background stamp for the backing/framing tags… which I just realized as I was writing this post that they no longer carry. No worries though, there are many background stamps that would work too.
I used a stamp from Pinkfresh’s Folk Hummingbird stamp set for the flowers. Then I colored them in with alcohol markers, heat embossed them and fussy cut them out. (After I was done coloring them but before I fussy cut them out, I put them back in the stamping platform to heat emboss over the coloring.)
I used one of the dies in their Botannical Rectangle die set for the leafy frame that the flowers were arranged around. I used both gold and silver cardstock for them just because I couldn’t decide which would look better. I used colored cardstock to in-lay the leaves. And then it was time to arrange everything and start adhering it down.
I hope that these inspire you to make something new today. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Anne, these are just gorgeous!!!! I’m with you… I don’t know which I like better, the silver or gold! Both are stunning!
Hey Karen! Sometimes I go through a phase where I’m putting gold on everything so I made myself consider silver for this project. Thanks so much for coming by!
So beautiful, Anne! I absolutely love your coloring!
Wonderful! I really enjoyed coloring time with these flowers, using my alcohol markers and a little bit of colored pencil for some detail. Thanks so much!!
How lovely! The creative layout using the botanical rectangle looks awesome! Beautiful coloring on the flowers as well! Thanks for playing along at Pinkfresh Studio April challenge!
