Let’s get started on today’s card!
I ran a panel of white cardstock through my die machine with the Pop-Up Leaves Panel Die, then I pulled out the coordinating Fall Leaves Background stencil and colored my leaves in. I didn’t worry too much about technique or varying the shading, keeping them simply colored.
I used a powder tool on the panel to make sure everything was dry, and then I used the stencil again to apply sticky ink and clear embossing powder over the leaves. Then I was able to choose a couple of shades of blue to ink blend an Autumn sky without changing the color of the leaves. I cut that panel down to 4 X 5 1/4 in. and backed it with a mirrored copper-colored specialty paper.
I adhered it, off-set, to an A2-sized panel with some fun foam for dimension. Then, I spent some time carefully going along my panel of leaves and curving/bending the leaves (be gentle to avoid creases in the clear embossing layer) so the mirror panel underneath would show through. I used foam tape to stick down the pre-printed subsentiment to the – Thanks, Die. I added a bow from the Layered Ornament die set, and my card was done!
