Hello and welcome back, I’m up on Pinkfresh Studio’s blog today with a simple and pretty wreath card with a sentiment filled background. I love how quick and easy it is to get a beautiful image using these layering stencils! This was made using a couple of new releases from Pinkfresh Studio, the beautiful Known & Loved stamp set, stencil set and accompanying die. Along with their new Mini Tags with Fillable words die set.
Stencil’s number 1 and 2 are both of flowers in the wreath. I used Peach Fuzz and Apricot both for the first stencil and Slumber for the second stencil. Clementine and Sapphire were used for the detail of the orange and blue blooms and Warm Buff and Doe were used for the stems and leaves. After everything was colored I went back in and used some Stickles Solar Flare glitter gel with the stems and leaves stencil just for something fun and set that aside to dry.
Two pieces of cardstock were cut down to 4 1/4 X 5 1/2, a peach panel and a white. I didn’t want the background sentiments to be too bold so I used Peach Fuzz to stamp those beautiful sentiments from the Known & Loved set onto the white cardstock. Embossing ink was used on the peach colored paper. Then I used Pinkfresh’s Diagonal Stitched Rectangles to die cut the peach colored paper in order to give it a big border with the sentiments running all the way across.
“My” and “Friend” were stamped and die cut out with the tag dies from Mini Tags with Fillable Words so that I could use a little bit of twine and a bow to add them to the wreath. The “You Are” sentiment was stamped straight down on the paper in the middle of the wreath and heat embossed with gold. Then I used foam tape to pop up the peach panel and more foam tape to pop up the wreath. Maybe extra bling was unnecessary but I’m never done until I’ve gone just a little too far.
Thank you so much for coming by! I hope that some of these design choices inspire you to make something new today.
