Pinkfresh Studio September 2020 Holiday Stamp and Die Release Blog Hop

Pinkfresh Studio September 2020 Holiday Stamp and Die Release Blog Hop

Hi everyone! Welcome to your next stop on Pinkfresh’s September Release blog hop! You got here from Yasmin’s post and your next stop should be Arjita’s blog, I’ll link them both at the end of this article.

Okay, how much fun did I have? I love this release and couldn’t help myself, I made a number of cards.

I started with the Pop-Out Folk Christmas stamp and die. So charming! I love this design. First I white and black heat embossed the stamp onto black and white cardstocks. I used the coordinating die to cut out the images and colored them, (red pencil on the black, green marker on the white) then set them aside.

For the background stamping on the card base I placed extra die cuts face down on the stamp (already in the stamping platform) with some low-tack adhesive on the back sides onto the stamp. I picked up the base of the platform (the heavy side?) and closed it down over the stamp so that the pieces of die cuts didn’t move. Flipped it upside right and opened it to see all of the die cut pieces stuck in their proper place on the card base in the stamping platform.

Then I just stamped and embossed the whole stamp again, and pulled away the “spares” so that I could replace them with the colored in pieces which were popped up with foam tape. Pretty! The sentiments both came from the Our Home to Yours stamp set.

Next I made an inlaid, pink and green folk card stamped with Delicata gold ink. I used a combination of the Heather uppercase and Heather and Lea lowercase alpha dies for the sentiment.

The pop-out folk stamp will fill a 4 1/1 X 5 1/2 card, so I trimmed just a bit off of each side to let the gold specialty paper beneath it show.

Then I decided to make a few simple, small, snowflake shaker cards with Pinkfresh’s new Layered Snowflakes die set. Oh my gosh, I love this set! I used the background die for a few of the larger snowflakes to cut into some colored paper.

Then I glued down the coordinating snowflake (on top of a square of vellum). I picked out some pretty patterned papers from Pinkfresh’s Oh What Fun 6×6 paper pad to be taped down onto the white card base. Another smaller snowflake from the set was placed on top of the shaker for a little bit of fun. I filled it with some chunky glitter and at the very end decided to tie a bow around the top of the card. These cards measure 3 1/2 X 3 1/2 inches.

Pinkfresh Studio will be giving away the full release on their blog, IG feed & YouTube channel.

I’m happy to share that Pinkfresh will be giving away a $25 gift card on each blog post! The winners will be picked from the comments and posted on September 24, 2020 to Pinkfresh’s GIVEAWAY PAGE. Please check that page & claim your prize within 2 weeks.

With the codes below, from September 17 to September 24, Pinkfresh is offering free US or discounted international shipping on all orders $50+.

Whew! I know that this was longer than usual, thanks for bearing with me. Please make sure to see all of the lovely projects on the hop, (and increase your chances of winning!). Yasmin’s blog post brought you here and the talented Arjita is next in line on the hop!

I hope that this has inspired you to make something new! Thanks so much for coming by!
