These guys really started out as an experiment for me. “What does it look like when I do this?”. I stamped and white heat embossed some lovely blooms from Simon Says Stamps “Delicate Flowers” stamp set.
With the first smaller card I made I wanted to see what it looked like when I just used a gray scale. Alcohol markers to outline the flower then pencils for shading inside the flower. While it turned out …okay, I wanted to do it again a little differently, so for the second card while I again used alcohol markers for the outline of the blooms I used colored pencils to show shading and I liked how it turned out better. Just wanted to show you guys both experiments.
When I was done stamping and coloring I looked at them and thought, “What is this? Flowers in space?” I decided to bring in my new nesting circle dies, which I got from Kat Scrappiness, I was able to frame them both with a couple of different colored sheets of paper, just pulling inspiration from the main piece. And bam! They looked so much cooler. Those light purple colors with black and white accents… I think that looks neat.
I added a few sentiments and had a little more fun with bling placement (tiny gems) then called it a day.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope that this inspires you to make something new.
