Hi everyone! I’m up on Pinkfresh’s blog today with a card made with a new Pinkfresh background stamp, Sweet Blooms. It’s chock full of beautifully sweeping vines and leaves and some pretty little flowers.
The image was stamped out onto some Strathmore colored pencil paper, using a neutral color like Warm Buff. I left the stamp in the platform because I usually like to re-stamp when I’m done coloring. I decided that the leaves looked like individual flower petals and I wanted to color them a sort of orange-y/peach with a little lavender near the stem. The pencils I used for the blooms were in the aqua/turquoise family.
Just for a change of pace I decided to use some Delicata gold ink to re-stamp over the finished image. This ink has a lovely rich tone and went well with the peach-y colors that dominate the card. I wanted the finished card to have a lavender border so I had to cut down the image just a bit. The stamp fills a 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 card.
I used Pinkfresh’s Artistic Bows to top the circle sentiment, (which I’ve decided looks a bit like an ornament, I’ve got Christmas on the brain!). That sentiment is a part of the You Can Change The World stamp set. And of course Pinkfresh had the perfect shade of pale peach bling, Essentials: Jewels Mix, to scatter across the card.
Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope that this has inspired you to make something new today!
