Hello crafty cohorts! I’m up on the Pinkfresh blog today with a pretty mini slimline card made with the new, so sweetly colored Hydrangea and Rose Washi and coordinating die.
I pulled open my Hydrangea washi (I adore those soft pink and yellow blooms!) and applied it (at least two panels worth) onto white cardstock, so that I would have lots of choices when it came to arranging and layering. I die cut them out using the accompanying Hydrangea and Rose die and piled them all into a bowl to set aside so I could figure out the background panel.
I knew that I wanted to use Pinkfresh’s new Mini-slimline essentials bundle to make this a mini slimline card so I decided to use the Slim Stitches die on some white cardstock, then use a mini slimline die to cut out a panel to be adhered down onto some soft yellow cardstock that measures 3 1/4 X 6 1/4 inches.
I die cut a wreath from that same yellow cardstock using Leafy Circle and white cardstock, I adhered the inner circle of white to the yellow wreath from the backside using spare washi tape (NOT my pretty Hydrangea washi!). I stuck it down to my card using a few pieces of foam tape in order to give me plenty of room to arrange my flowers.
After everything was arranged and stuck down, sometimes using more foam tape to be able to overlap the sprays of flowers and further define them from each other, I decided to use the Take Care sentiment die with green paper. And then it was time for bling! I used some pretty Sunshine Yellow and a couple Glacier Jewels to make the whole thing sparkle and was done.
I’m so glad you came by and I hope some of these design choices have inspired you to make something new today!

So lovely!
Thank you Marisela!!
You created a beautiful card! Thanks. for the ideas and inspiration. You very cleverly nested the white cutout with the yellow leafy.circle to pop it up. Great idea and one that I will borrow.
Wonderful! Thanks again Karen!
