With all of the slimline cards I’ve been making lately, I felt the urge to make a slimline Christmas tag.

I started with Pinkfresh Studio’s Argyle Layering Stencil (which is a 2-stencil set) on a 4 X 9 piece of white cardstock. I grabbed some ink pads starting with a few shades of red, Coral Reef, Passion Fruit and just a little bit of Berrylicious around the outside of the diamond. I used blender brushes to blend in the red colors first, then shifted the stencil to fill in the remaining diamond shapes with a couple of shades of green, Fresh Pear, Grassy Knoll and Key Lime.

I used the second stencil in the set to heat emboss some sparkly gold lines, so pretty! I die cut it out with the inside die from Pinkfresh’s Slim Diagonal Stitched Rectangle die set which was approximately 2 3/4 X 7 3/4 inches. I snipped off the corners on the top and there was my tag.

I used Lea’s Ornate Lowercase dies with some specialty paper from my stash for the “noel” and stamped out some pretty flower half wreaths from Pinkfresh’s Charming Floral Wreath stamp set and used the accompanying die set to cut them out. I actually stamped them out in various colors, and finally decided that they needed to be just a bit bolder than the background or they they got lost when placed over the argyle pattern. I arranged everything on the tag and used small bits of foam tape to be able to layer and give dimension then stuck it all down.

I added gold Nuvo drops where the lines intersected and some Pinkfresh Jewels on the flower wreaths and I was done.

I made a couple more small circle tags using Pinkfresh’s adorable Classic Tags with Fillable Elements die set. I love this set, so cute! I white heat embossed a background stamp, Lush Vines, onto a couple of different colored paper pieces, and die cut them out with the circle tag. Then I stamped and embossed another half wreath stamp from the Charming Floral Wreath set onto vellum and die cut them out.

They were adhered onto the circle tags along with a sentiment from the Sleigh Bells Ring stamp set. And used some white raffia ribbon and string for some extra fun at the top.

I hope that some of these ideas might inspire you to make something new today. Thank you so much for coming by.
