Hi everyone! Welcome to your next stop on the Pinkfresh Studio “Delights & Doodles” Blog Hop! Aren’t all these new designs darling! I love Lizzie Mackay’s little critters and summertime scenes. For my card today, I used the new Sweet Scoops stencil and die. That little bunny holding up a giant, colorful stack of ice cream? So cute! And the just-right sentiment is from another new release, the Ice Cream Truck stamp set.

- I started by using the two-stencil set to color in my image onto smooth white cardstock. I took my time with this part. My favorite way to color in my cards is with ink and stencil. In descending order, I used: Waterfall, Emerald City, Lavender & Opulence, Wisteria & Soft Lilac, Bubble Gum & Hydrangea, and Grassy Knoll. For the cone, I used Warm Buff and Doe. And for the bunny, it was Sky Blue and Summer Shower. (I think by the time I was done, I used colors from almost every ink cube collection PFS has. 😁) Oh! I used Detail Black for the eye and nose; they are included on the stencil.
- I used the Sweet Scoops die to cut out my colored bunny and tower of ice cream, twice. I glued the blank die-cut to the bottom of the colored one to add a bit of strength.
- I grabbed another panel of A2-sized, white cardstock and brushed small, soft circles of color where the ice cream tower was going to be placed.
- I was going to use only the Hearts and Stars coverplate (I’ve always thought that those little hearts, stars, and dots lend whimsy and magic to a design. Love!) for my sprinkles. But after using a die from the Fancy Edgers collection on each side of my topping panel, I realized the little bits that fell from it looked just like sprinkles, and I used them too!
- I adhered my topping panel to a card base using fun foam and used foam tape to adhere the bunny and ice cream on top.
- I glued on the “sprinkles”.
- I got my sentiment from the Ice Cream Truck stamp set and used PFS’s Basic Banners die to cut it out.

These beautiful new designs by Pinkfresh are an irresistible combination of whimsy and summertime fun! And offer a sweet alternative to a flower-filled card (like what?? 🩷😯). They’re perfect for birthday cards and work great for encouraging and “enjoy your summer” sentiments.
Please let me know if you have any questions. I’d be happy to answer. I hope that you have been inspired to make something new today.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
