Pinkfresh Studio “Joyful Blooms” Release Blog Hop

Hi everyone! Welcome to your next stop on Pinkfresh Studio’s “Joyful Blooms” release blog hop! PFS’s new collection includes four beautiful washi tape designs, which are perfect for making your own ephemera for card making and paper crafting. This suite beautifully showcases soft watercolored florals with gold foiling detail. For my card today, I used the new Flowers for the Soul washi with the coordinating die and two more new releases: the Double Stitched Rectangles and Elegant Circles stand-alone dies.

  1. I began by adhering the amount of washi tape I wanted to heavyweight white cardstock and using the coordinating die to cut out the two bouquets and four leafy bunches. (Yes, this left me with a lot of flowers left over. Just bag them up and save them in your stash!)
  2. I used the largest of the dies in the new (nested) Double Stitched Rectangles die set on a cardstock panel. Then, I used another rectangle die, the next size down, centered on the same panel of paper.
  3. Both rectangle die cuts were adhered to an A-2-sized cardbase—one inside the other.
  4. I used the largest die from the new Elegant Circles die set on a panel of white cardstock from my stash, which I had previously used PFS’s Charming Stitched Florals on.
  5. I glued both the center and outside circles to a circle of fun foam and taped that to the center of the card base.
  6. I arranged the yellow and coral-colored bouquets and leafy stems and stuck them to the circle using foam tape for the blooms.
  7. Then, I added some plain, white die-cut stems using PFS’s Fresh Florals die to enhance the bouquet while keeping them in the background.
  8. I added a Best Wishes sentiment (from the new Peony Perfection stamp set) to the center of my card, a small white bow at the top, and some iridescent dew drops around the arrangement. And I was done!

I love the pretty gold foiling detail on the washi and that this card can be used for birthdays, engagements, retirements, and other occasions. I hope that you’ve been inspired to make something new today! Thanks so much for stopping by!

-Anne
