Bright, Beautiful Birthday Card

Hi everyone! I’m on the Pinkfresh blog today with a lovely birthday card made with new PFS releases! I used the Fresh Florals die in various shades of red for my flowers. I also added a layered heart using the fun new Radiating Hearts and Stars die and more specialty paper. Finally, I used the new You Are My Rainbow stamp set for an elegant birthday sentiment.

This design would work beautifully with many different colors. Pick one color, go through your paper stash, and pull all the shades of that color. Remember to pull glittery, shiny, matte papers from your specialty paper collection. Using the Fresh Florals one-piece-die will quickly give you a lot of flowers for your card.

  1. Use ink colors Passion Fruit, Coral Reef, and Ballet Slipper to ombre shade in an A2-sized cardstock panel.
  2. Use the You Are My Rainbow stamp set with gold embossing powder to add the sentiment.
  3. Adhere panel to an A2-sized card base. I used double-sided tape.
  4. Pull out the Radiating Hearts and Stars die to use with gold mirror paper and another specialty paper of your choice.
  5. Adhere two differently sized hearts together with foam tape, then center the layered heart on the card top with two layers of foam tape.
  6. Use the Fresh Florals die with many different shades and textures of red.
  7. After choosing the flowers you like, shape and adhere them to your card. Use foam tape to periodically vary their heights, making it easier to nestle them close together.
  8. Use the Fresh Florals stencil and die with white cardstock. Color the leafy branches with the beautiful reddish-orange ink colors Mimosa, Mango Sorbet, and Fruit Punch.
  9. Shape the branches, then insert the orange stems here and there to fill in spaces and help construct the square shape in which the flowers are arranged. I sometimes use the tips of the leaves for the corners.
  10. I applied Pinkfresh’s Clear Drops: Scarlet for a few more points of shine, and I was done with my card!

I hope that you have been inspired to make something new today. If you try this design in a different color and post it on IG, please tag us. We’d love to see it!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
