Hi Everyone! I’m up on the Pinkfresh Studio blog with a fun project. I used Pinkfresh’s new Four Seasons stencil and die to make four charming seasonal cards. The Four Seasons die includes stitched accents, which provide a lot of added detail. If I had backed the scenes with complimentary colors, a simple square die-cut, or even an A-2-sized cardbase, I would have had no problem sharing them with male friends or family.

- I started by die-cutting the images with the single Four Seasons die and stenciling the colors with the Four Seasons 5-stencil set. I used repositionable tape on the panel’s backside to keep the die-cuts in place. If you prefer, you can stencil first and then die-cut them.
- I tried to stick to cool blues, grays, and a dark evergreen for my Winter card.
- For Spring, I used brighter rainbow colors.
- For Summer, I chose turquoise and deep greens.
- For Autumn, I used yellows, oranges, and browns. For my sky, I lightly brushed Warm Buff over Lemon Whip. (Sometimes, I like to blend a light brown over the orange to get a more pumpkin-y shade.)
- Then, to make your card base, use a die from the Decorative Circles die set eight times with white cardstock. Score four panels 3/4 of an inch from the “top.” Apply glue in the small space between the score and the edge of the die cut. Then, center a non-scored decorative circle on top.
- Apply either fun foam or foam tape to the backside of your ink-blended, die-cut scenes. And adhere them to your decorative circle card bases.
- Top with a sentiment and/or bling. And you are done!
Pinkfresh has another new release: the Embroidery Hoops die. This die perfectly complements the detailed die cuts in the Four Seasons die set.
If you’ve any questions, I’d be happy to help. I hope this inspires you to make something new today. Thanks so much for stopping by!
