Be Fearless Wreath

Hi guys! Today, I’m on the blog with a pretty wreath card I made using Pinkfresh Studio’s new Be Fearless stampstencil, and die. Those stylized blooms are so sweet! I love that the petals scallop to a point. Just darling!

I used the Stippled Plaid press plate for a subtle background and kept my color palette soft. Let’s get started!

I began with cream-colored cardstock, Alabaster by Spellbinders, and hot-foiled the Stippled Plaid press plate with Opal foil. I set that panel aside and put another panel of cream-colored cardstock into the stamping platform. I used Ballet Slipper to stamp the Be Fearless design (a few times because the ink is very light). Then, I pulled out the 5-stencil set to color everything in.

I started with Ballet Slipper and stencil #2 and colored the entire bloom. Then, I used Cherry Blossom, with the same stencil in place, and used my small blending brushes to add some darker pink areas to the bloom randomly. Then I brushed Warm Buff lightly over the entire bloom, trying to change the pink/cherry color to a soft, dusky rose. With stencil #3, I followed the same steps, starting with Cherry Blossom, then moving to Peony, and with stencil #4, it was just Peony with a heavier hand. The blooms have three stencils, and I tried to build translucent flower petals by gently layering my inks.

I colored the leaves in with stencils one and five. I used Warm Buff or Sage for the whole leaf and the slightly darker Doe and Eucalyptus for the base and detail of the leaves.

Then, I heat embossed a sparkly gold powder for the detail; I think it’s still nice and subtle. Then, I die-cut everything out. I had a few white embossed (on vellum) stems from the Wildflower Bouquet stamp and die sets left over from a previous project, and I had to include a few in my wreath.

I used the Nested Circles die set for a ring to arrange the flowers and stems around. I used some baker’s twine to wrap around the ring and make a bow. I sprinkled the clear with gold dust gems (perfect for shaker cards!) because they offer a little bit of glitter. And the sentiment, with that lovely, scripty font, is from the Be Fearless stamp and die sets.

I hope that some of these design choices have inspired you to make something new today! Thanks so much for coming by!
