Hi everyone! Welcome to your next stop on the Pinkfresh Studio March 2023 Washi, Stamp, Die, and Stencil Release blog hop! I’ve got a bright and pretty card and tag set today, made with Pinkfresh’s new Rainbow Daises Washi tape, and die. I also used the new Rounded and Braided Rectangles die set, (which I adore!). I answer every comment I get on the blog, so if you have any questions, please let me know. Let’s get to it!
I started my card by sticking the washi tape to panels ( 4 1/4 X 11 in.) of heavy white cardstock, two of them, and die cut them both out for a nice big pile of gold foiled rainbow colored daises. Then I used another A2 sized panel with a couple of the Layered Sunburst stencils, and some Pinkfresh inks, for a dramatic rainbow background. But after making it, I decided it was too bold for what I was looking for and set it aside. I then decided to blend a rainbow of colors around the pretty daisy wreath, and used a die cut circle, cut from Gina K.’s Masking Magic mask paper, and laid it in the middle of my panel to keep the middle of the wreath white. Then I started blending colors around the circle, trying to make sure I kept the blending light at first, because like Heather and Lea say, you can always add more ink but you can’t take it away.
When I was done, I cut the panel down to a square, 4 1/4 X 4 1/4. But I thought it still looked a bit too bold for what I wanted, so I added a wide torn strip of vellum over the square, folding it over the edge and taping it to the backside, before popping it up with fun foam over the base panel, 4 1/2 X 4 1/2 inches.
I’ve really been drawn to rounded corners lately, something about the world feeling very sharp and pointy right now, so I find that I’ve been rounding the corners of quite a lot of my cards to sort of gentle them. I used Pinkfresh’s Nested Circles, die set, to make two thin circles, thinking that I might stack them on top of each other, but they turned out very thin and I didn’t want the bother of gluing them together. I put one on top of the daisy wreath and added another die cut wreath, without the washi, underneath, to give it some extra contrast from the rainbow blending on the card base’s topping panel and extra daisy bouquet’s that were layered beneath.
The doubled up wreath was popped up with two layers of bits of foam tape, but the smaller daisy bouquet’s were adhered directly to the vellum first and the wreath was arranged on top of them. Next, the black hot foiled sentiment from Wonderful Sentiments hot foil plate and die, was added in the center and some bright gold Metallic Pearls were sprinkled across diagonally, to compliment the gold foiling on the Rainbow Daises Washi. I love that those gold-foiled rainbow colored daises look like tiny explosions of happy!
Not done yet! I still had that initial panel of rainbow inked Layered Sunburst Stencil, (made with a masked off circle in the middle) a small pile of die cut daisy bouquet’s and another thin circle on my desk, so I grabbed a favorite of mine from this release, the Rounded & Braided Rectangles die set. I sincerely love this shape, and used this die set for another couple of cards that I’ll share on the Pinkfresh IG hop tomorrow, March 28.
I used the smallest die from the 6-die set and cut out a tag from that first, sunburst panel and die cut a panel of vellum then I tied them together with some red twine. I adhered the thin circle and added a bouquet of flowers on top of the vellum, added a sentiment and was done with my card and tag set!

Hi, Anne! I love the tag- the contours and use of different shapes yet overall “smooth” round-looking is fabulous! That tag alone gave me a couple ideas of mixing and matching. I like that even though you at first didn’t like a panel, you worked with it until it became its beauty!! Inspiring!
