Pinkfresh Studio June 2022 Stamp, Die, Stencil, and Hot Foil Release

Hi everyone! Welcome to your next stop on the Pinkfresh Studio June 2022 Stamp, Die, Stencil, and Hot Foil Release new release blog hop! I made a sweet and simple encouragement card using Pinkfresh’s new Folk Floral Stem stamp, stencil, and die. I think the joyful curve of the flower and the colors I used help to accentuate that hopeful sentiment that is included in the stamp set. Let’s get to it!

I started my project by using the Folk Floral Stem 4-stencil set on some white cardstock. I used all four of Pinkfresh’s yellow inks, for the blooms. Then I used Mint and a little bit of Misty Coast, over the Mint to get a green/gray for the foliage. Then I put my colored image in my MISTI stamping platform and stamped over it using Detail Black ink.

When I knew the ink was dry I die cut it out using the accompanying die, but I left it in the paper (like a jig) that I die cut it from because I wanted to put some glitter gel on it. I find that when I die cut after I’ve applied the glitter gel, it sort of crushes the dried paste, gel or glaze, flat. Sometimes that’s not an issue, but I wanted to keep as much of that 3D element, that the glitter gel provided, as possible. I used the stencils again and pulled out a jar of Stickles Starshine glitter gel, then tried to smooth it onto just the tips of the flower petals where the color was lightest.

(I love Ranger’s Stickles line of glitter gels! They all have an iridescent quality that appeals to me.)

I used another so-charming new release, the Ornate Medallions cover plate die on a panel of white cardstock as well as on my dark gray/green cardbase. I cut the white panel down and adhered it to the center of my cardbase using fun foam. I used foam tape to pop up the flower stem on the white panel. I also popped the sentiment up with some foam tape then I had some fun playing with the new shiny embellishments that Pinkfresh is releasing today, Iridescent Clear Drops. They look like drops of water… So Pretty!! Also, I didn’t use it in any of my pictures (don’t know how that happened) but Pinkfresh is releasing their own branded embellishment tray! It’s a brass elongated triangle shape, the long pointed end is perfect to use to put the drops back into a little storage baggie, and the shorter points work well to get jewels or crystals back into one of those shallow pots.

And my encouragement card was done!

I hope that some of these design choices have inspired you to make something new today! Thank you so much for coming by!

-Anne
