Hi everyone! Welcome to your next stop on the Pinkfresh Studio May 2022 Stamp, Die, Stencil, and Hot Foil Release blog hop! I’ve just got one project today, so we’ll move through this pretty quickly. I made this one with the new Botanical Bunch stamp, stencil set, and die and it’s full of Pinkfresh blues and greens! I love this design of summer wildflowers so much and it was so easy to make a pretty card with, that I might have to make a notecard gift set so that I can sit down and try ALL of the color combinations and maybe some glitter gel next time. I also used the new Stitched Diamonds coverplate for that pretty stitched, background detail.
I started with a piece of 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 in., Neenah 110 lb. white cardstock in the MISTI, where I lightly stamped the image with a gray ink (Rocky Slope) so that I can use that outline to line up the stencils. Also, when I lay the first stencil down, I use my blending brush and ink to mark the four corners of the stencil on the paper, this also makes it easier to line up each successive stencil. It works for me.
Today, there were no masking techniques used, it was all pretty straightforward with fun color combinations. The inks that I used for one of the flower groupings are Slumber, Candy Violet, and Blue Jay. The rest of the flowers were colored in with Summer Shower, Aquamarine, and Seaside. Then the leaves were colored in with Fresh Pear and Grassy Knoll. When I was done stenciling in the colors, I put it back into the stamping platform and stamped with Detail Black over the top of it, and set it aside.
I covered up one of them with my sentiment but does anyone else see that some of the flowers have a heart center? Is that on purpose or just incidental?
I used the Stitched Diamonds coverplate on the green cardbase I picked out (I got both of those sheets of green-colored paper from Papertrey Ink). I used the coverplate on a lighter shade of green as well as the backing white piece, trimmed a little off the sides, and layered them on top of each other.
I used the Botanical Bunch die to cut them out and used some twine to tie a bow around them. They got popped up by some foam tape and the sentiment came from the Botanical Bunch stamp set. I added a few sparkly sapphire jewels and then I was done!

Your talent always makes me sit up and take notice. Love the layers and the Diamond coverplate – the colors you chose from Papertrey REALLy match well w/ the inks. Not an accident, I know. Your eye for color is spot on! I love the cool color palette and the way you colored the posies. Great job!! I will have to wait to purchase more than the Stained Glass die and stencil since some unforeseen expenditures have my bank book hurting at the moment. I love the Diamond cover and the Wildflowers and the Painted Daisies, but they will keep until I can get them, I’m sure.
