Hi guys! Welcome to your next stop on the Pinkfresh Studio April 2021 Stamp, Stencil, Die, and Hot Foil Release hop! There is a lot to get to with this release, so I’ll try not to keep you too long. I’ve just got a couple of projects today, both using Pinkfresh Studio’s new Be Strong stamp set. I just adore how the flowers swoop and curl and the leaves are sort of scalloped. So very charming! With this first project I also used the Be Strong layering stencil and die.
I used just one of the stencils in the Simple Plaid 2-stencil set and Pinkfresh’s Sky Blue ink pad with a blender brush for a soft blue background. Then I used the Diagonal Stitched Rectangle die set to cut out the panel and glued it to a white cardstock A2 sized base. I put that aside and got to work on the flowers.
I white heat embossed the flowers (they’re all together on one stamp) on light blue paper then pulled out the Be Strong 5-layer stencil set and inked them up with Slumber, Lavender, Sapphire and Grassy Knoll for the leaves and stems. I die cut them out with the accompanying die and arranged them on top of a die cut Stitched Scalloped Rectangle because I thought they went so well together.
I used the really pretty, new Lot’s of Love die, I think about 4 times, with white cardstock to get a lot of dimension, glued the layers together and adhered it on top of the flowers. Added some sparkly blue Pinkfresh Crystals and was done.
For my pretty pink tags I selected a couple of flowers from the stamp and gold heat embossed them onto some Tim Holtz Distress watercolor cardstock, masking off the rest of the stamp with random pieces of paper. I used Pinkfresh inks Sparkling Rose, Bubble Gum, Sweet Mustard and Fresh Pear and Evergreen for the leaves and stems. Smoosh the ink pad onto either your stamping platform or glass mat and spritz with a little water.
I tried to keep the painting pretty simple. No fancy techniques. That was my goal at least. I did end up adding a few different gradations of color… because I cannot stop myself. I figured that the blooms are so stylistically drawn you don’t really need to add detailed painting techniques for the image to be super charming.
I die cut them out with Pinkfresh’s Classic tags with fillable elements (which I think are so sweet!) and backed them with another die cut tag using Tonic’s satin gold pearl specialty paper. Then I used another new release: Perfect Sentiments hot foil plate and die for the sentiments. One hot foil plate, one die, 11 sentiments! Super easy. Gotta love that! There is also a stamp set for this in case you wanted to stamp or heat emboss with them.
Then I added some ribbon and Pinkfresh Jewels and was done.

Love your card. I would have thought the plaid was too much behind it but no …. beautiful! Surprised me you stamped flowers on blue cardstock … wouldn’t have thought to do that. Great job!
When you ink in the flowers (on blue cardstock) the colors are a little less bright than they would be on white paper, but any border that didn’t get cut by the die blends into the background really well. At least, that was my thinking. Thank you Rita!

The choice of colours go so well together, creating a master piece! Those tags are beautiful! Love the bold and think foil on them! Although, I like to place my hot foil directly on the cards. Do you know if they are going to come out with more, that aren’t stuck together?
