Hey guys! Welcome to the next stop on Pinkfresh Studio’s March 2021 stamp, die and washi new release hop! You probably got here from Yazmin’s blog, Carissa’s post is next in line. I will have links to the next stop in the hop at the end of this post.
This release is all about beautiful gold foiled floral images and convenient coordinating stamps and dies to give us even more choices when we sit down to craft. Maybe you need a quick and easy tag or a card stuffed with hand painted florals. This was the first time I worked with washi tape like this, and went a little nuts. I hope a few of these projects inspire you.
I started with the English Garden washi, full of beautiful green foliage and sweet pink blooms. I decided to use it with Simon Says Stamp’s Ivory paper. I pulled some of the English Garden washi from the roll, stuck it down on the paper and die cut it out with the accompanying die.
I took another piece of Ivory paper and blended some Ballet Slipper and Coral Reef in a circle with the center masked off for the sentiment, just to give the wreath a subtle glow effect. It was popped up on foam tape of course but before I stuck the wreath down I used a sentiment from the Indigo Vines stamp set, masked it again and splattered with some gold glimmer paint.
I grabbed the bunches of flowers that were already die cut from the washi and glued them along the edges of the base piece. I popped up the wreath panel with some fun foam and decided at the last minute to finish off the edges of the top panel with some thin die cut strips using Pinkfresh’s Slim Stripes. Then I added a few gold confetti from Studio Katia to tie in with the splattered gold paint.
For my next card I decided to use the lovely stormy blue Indigo Vines washi on vellum. I die cut out the wreath and number of bunches and set them aside. I thought they would look really pretty placed on some patterned paper from Pinkfresh’s Keeping It Real paper pack.
The patterned paper was die cut with the Diagonal Stitched Rectangles die set and the edges were inked up with Slumber and a little bit of Storm. I black heat embossed the wreath from the Indigo Vines stamp (the wreath and bunches are all one stamp) to the blue patterned paper to help provide some peeks of a dark contrasting color. Then I taped it down, wonky, to the white cardstock base. On purpose. This time.
I decided to adhere the blue vellum bunches to the underside of a die cut out small Stitched Scalloped Rectangle. The vellum wreath went on top with some embellishing Nuvo Drops and those gorgeous deep blue jewels from Pinkfresh’s Jewel Mix. And I finished it off by using the Sentiment Suite: Thank You die on some white and silver cardstocks, layered and glued together, for the sentiment in the middle.
I kinda love my blue vellum wreath card.
I used the Joyful Bouquet washi for these quick and easy tags. Again the washi was laid out on some vellum then die cut with the accompanying die. I used Pinkfresh’s Classic Tags with fillable elements die set for both sets of tags.
I die cut out the tags from gold foiled polka dotted vellum because it looked celebratory to me, layered some colored paper underneath and glued the bouquet to the top of the tag. For the sentiments I used the Happy Birthday sentiments stamp and die sets.
I added some sparkly jewels from Pinkfresh and was done! Quick and easy!
My last two tags were made with the English Garden washi and die, and the Painted Peony washi and die. I decided that one of the benefits of using washi tape was working with a design where I didn’t hesitate to cut the colored image in half, something that would be difficult if I had spent hours coloring them in myself.
I ombre inked with some Fresh Pear, Key Lime and Olive on one of the tags then splattered paint on both of them. I adhered bunches of blooms to the bottom side of some extra Slim Stripes that I had (in a drawer with all of my other extra die cuts) and cut off the edges from one side but not the other.
I added foam tape to pop them up, adhered the sentiments and then the bling: more gold confetti and some clear drops.

So So pretty! I love how simple and pretty the first card is, with that wonderful gold splatter! And the blue indigo washi tape layered up is stunning! But my absolute favourite is the washi tape on vellum! WOW! And with that gold vellum background, so delicate and pretty! I can’t get over how pretty and delicate it is!

The first wreath card is classic, but not at all ordinary. The 2nd with the blue floral is just brilliant. The frame tilted is just enough interest to really make it pop! The tags are very beautiful as well, but the ones on the diagonal are really eye catching. So, just when I thought I had decided which set to purchase….you have made me question my choice!!
