Enchanting Meadow Stencil With Colored Pencils

Hi! Welcome! I’m up on Pinkfresh Studio’s blog today with a card I made using one of their new layering stencil sets, Enchanting Meadow and colored pencils. I thought this meadow scene would look so sweet with the finer line that a pencil can give you.

I started with some loose sketch paper that I had sitting in my stash, some very sharp pencils and a sharpener on stand by. There are 5 stencils in this set so I thought that if I was going to layer pencil on top of pencil I had better start out lightly. As each layer went by I would would use darker shades but I saved the  detailed work for the blooms.

Because I kept the coloring simple, when I was done I felt I really should do something more and decided to make it a little more “enchanting” with one of the stencils from another of my favorite sets, Argyle and some glitter gel. I love that glimmery diamond motif laid down over the meadow!

I had a sentiment in mind from the beginning from the Floral Notes stamp set and stamped it on to vellum. Just before I adhered the top layer down onto some cream colored cardstock, using foam tape, I decided it looked a little rustic with that shade of off white and added a twine bow. I could not stop myself from adding additional sparkle using Pinkfresh’s Jewels Mix, and I was done!

I hope that this has inspired you to make something new today. Thank you so much for coming by!
