Make A Wish – Layered Clouds

Hello and welcome! I was inspired to make this card because of two things: one, I won’t be seeing the usual list of suspects this Thanksgiving, we’ll be socially distancing from extended family members, this will go to someone I haven’t seen for a while. And two, I saw a picture on Pinterest that I loved and wanted to try to sort of recreate it. Here is the link to that image.

I picked up the cloud dies from Hero Arts called Cloudy Sky Scene and the little house and the sentiment are both from Simon Says Stamp’s Home Sweet Home stamp set.

I don’t have a die for the house so I stamped and colored it (with pencils) on some very light purple cardstock. Then fussy cut some of the house and used the cloud die on the rest of the light purple paper to continue the cloud line. I used an Echo Park stencil Baby Boy and Stickles Solar Flare glitter gel for the background as well as on the moon. I used a stars die from my stash for the bigger stars.

Then there was a lot of arranging and foam tape, I didn’t worry too much about how big it was, 5 X 7 and layer upon layer of foam tape. I didn’t mind paying a little extra postage for this card. And I was done.

I’m taking part in Simon Says Stamp’s Wednesday Challenge, Anything Goes!

I hope that some of my design choices have inspired you to make something new today. Thanks so much for coming by!
