Pinkfresh Studio October 2020 Slimline Stamp, Die, and Stencil Release Blog Hop!

Hi everyone! Welcome to your next stop on the Pinkfresh Studio October 2020 Slimline Stamp, Die, and Stencil Release Blog Hop! Whew! That’s a mouthful. You probably got here from Yasmin Diaz’s post and Amy Kolling is next, if you want to start at the beginning that would be on Pinkfresh Studio’s blog. There are a LOT of gorgeous projects on this hop that you have to see, so I won’t keep you too long. Let’s get to it!

Let’s start with that big gorgeous slimline stamp from Pinkfresh Studio, You Are Amazing. I love the line of those branches and leaves as they sweep and flow around each other. This stamp set does have an accompanying 3-stencil set which I ended up not using today. First I stamped with Pinkfresh’s Olive ink onto a 4 X 9 in. piece of Neenah solar white (using the larger sized Memory MISTI). Then I clear heat embossed over that and started ink-blending my sky and grass colors: Sky Blue, Summer Shower and Seaside, then Fresh Pear and Grassy Knoll.

I used a sentiment from the same stamp set, which I thought went really well with my card design, onto a small die cut circle and some twine wrapped right around where the horizon would be. I liked how it looked placed low down on the slimline length of the card. I had to add a sprinkle of matching jewels after I adhered it down onto some white cardstock and then onto craft cardstock. And that one is done!

This Argyle stencil is one of my favorites from this release! I ended up making a card and a couple of shaker tags with it.

For my slimline card I chose the colors: Warm Buff, Doe, Ballet Slipper, Sparkling Rose, Coral Reef and Passion Fruit. I used a little bit of Pixie Spray on the back of the Argyle stencil in order to temporarily make it stay in place on my white cardstock. Then I lined up my inks, grabbed some blending brushes and made sure to have on hand some paper scraps and washi tape to mask areas that I didn’t want to accidentally color. When I was done with the first stencil I splattered with a few of the ink pads I still had on my table and some white gouache.

This is a 2-stencil set, so after the colors were settled and dry I used the second stencil to apply some gold Nuvo embellishment mousse. I stamped a half wreath of flowers onto vellum from the Charming Floral Wreath stamp set to embellish a sentiment, which I pulled from Pinkfresh’s new Floral Notes stamp set. Another sprinkle of jewels and that one is done!

Next up are the shaker tags. I used the Argyle stencil again on a 4 X 9 length of paper, half of witch I blended with blues and the other half I blended with pinks. I used Pinkfresh’s Shaker Tags die set to cut out two large tags before I used the second stencil to apply more color and some glitter gel.

I die cut out the smaller tag shape in the set to for the topping piece for the shakers. I used a ruler, pencil and craft knife to cut out the inside of the smaller tag shape, it wasn’t difficult. But the Shaker Tag die set comes with other dies that you can use to cut the inside of the tag out for the window if you like.

I used just the outlines of the Heather lowercase die set for the “baby” sentiment. And some floral ephemera and enamel dots from the Days of Splendor collection to finish them off.

Thanks so much for coming by! I tried to be brief so if you have any questions please ask, I can talk paper crafting ideas all day.

Yasmin Diaz was just ahead of me in the hop lineup, and the talented and super nice Amy Kolling is next.
